Misnomer: nearly all American
cloth maps from WW2 were printed
on Rayon-acetate, except three:
Road Map of N Africa, No. 27/28,
and No. 4/6 which were printed
on Balloon cloth. All of the NACI-HO sheets including the instruction sheet
were on Rayon.
This site is dedicated to the
men and women who served during the
Second World War, who
were invovled in the: Intelligence Services,
Photo-Interpretation, and more
importantly Mapping. They worked
for: MI9, MIS-X, Army Map Service,
Coast and Geodetic Survey,
Air Ministry, SOE and
“D” Survey.
